Get Your Run On

Is the summer race season winding down for you – or has it never really got off the ground? Here are few 1-milers, 5Ks and 10Ks and other races to motivate you to step up your workouts:

Ted E. Bear Hollow 5K/10K Run & Remembrance Walk (midtown) – Aug. 27

Make-A-Wish 5K and 10K (West Omaha) – Sept. 3
Blue Jay 7K Adult Fun Run (Carter Lake) – Sept. 4. Adult run only with obstacles. Supports Soles 4 Souls.
– Go Girl Run (Midtown) – Sept. 5. 5K and 1 mile. Supports benefit Uta Halee Girls Village. Email gogirlrun@q.com for details.
Omaha Midnight Run (downtown) – Sept. 9, benefits Abide Network
–                      Peak 2 Peak 10 Mile Run – Sept. 10. Email ddredge3@cox.net<mailto:ddredge3@cox.net> for details.
– Be Great Run 8 (Council Bluffs) – Sept. 11. This is a four-person team relay (each runs 2 miles). Benefits Boys & Girls Clubs. Email ksears@bgcomaha.org for more information.
Nova Treatment Community 1-2-3 Recovery (downtown) – Sept. 24. 1-,2- or 3-mile walk. Benefits NOVA Treatment Center.
Fall Fun Run (downtown) – Sept. 28. 2- or 4-mile run. Sponsored by Omaha Running Club.
