National Bike Month

All right, enough with all these running posts, right?

Did you know May is National Bike Month?

The nonprofit group League of American Bicyclists celebrates promotes this event on its Facebook page as well as on its website.

So, what do you gotta do to celebrate? Dust off your bike and ride.

Here are some tips to ensure you ride well. Check the links on the side of this page. They can direct you to information on commuting, bike maintenance and rules of the road.

This website also gives you a search option of bike events in your area (go here).

I checked out Omaha’s listings, and there are a lot. There are easy rides, Happy Hour rides, and stuff for families, including CycleFest on May 15. Look at all the listings here.

The League of American Bicyclists promotes bicycling for fun, fitness & transportation, and works through advocacy and education for a bicycle-friendly America.
