Well, hello, Runner’s World section on pregnant runners. You’ve got great timing.
A friend tipped me off to the magazine’s recent issue focused on pregnant runners. I haven’t seen the hard copy, but I’ve begun perusing the online stories here. There’s some great stuff to read about training while pregnant and post-partum.
“Great Expectations,” a Q&A with Paula Radcliffe and Kara Goucher, was pretty insightful and encouraging. While these professionals are in a league of their own, any pregnant wannabe athlete could find some inspiration here. Radcliffe, if you didn’t know, won the 2007 ING New York City Marathon just 10 months after giving birth.
You’ll also find some great tips from runners of all levels, information on eating well during pregnancy and inspiring stories of speedy moms who returned to the race podium after giving birth.
For all you moms-to-be, or all those hoping to be someday, you’ll want to check this collection of stories out.
